Legal Question in Traffic Law in Michigan
Leaving the Scene
I came home at 3:15 in the morning. It was very snowy and my truck's back end swung out and struck a car in the parking lot of my apartment complex. The bumper was cracked. Because it was so late i went to sleep. In the morning there was a police officer in the parking lot and i went down and explained to him that I hit the car. He said he had to write me a ticket for LTS of an accident. Although he said becuase i live in the same complex and was honest with him, they might drop the charge completely. Also I did not receive any other ticket such as illegal backing, or speed too fast for conditions. I was wondering how I should go about handling this case.
