Legal Question in Traffic Law in Michigan
Non-payment of traffic ticket
I had a moving violation ticket of 5 miles over from about 4 years ago. I didn't pay the ticket and now my license of course is suspended and I am assuming I have a bench warrant out for me. If I go into the city that it occured at and take enough money to pay for this, is there any reason that the city would jail me?

Re: Non-payment of traffic ticket
They won't arrest you. But be prepared to pay close to three times the original amount in fines and costs and a reinstatement fee.
