A police officer can NOT stop you for no reason-- that would result in violation of your consitutional rights, e.g., illegal stop & seizure. However, he can make an investigative stop based on reasonable suspicion that criminal activity is in progress, etc... What do you mean that he was pushing his car? bumber to bumper? If your son's drivers license was suspended (DWLS) and he was behind the wheel with the keys in the ignition, then he may have a problem. But it doesn't mean that it can't be fought. We have fought many of these and have had them almost always reduced or dismissed. You have not provided sufficient details of the facts to render an adequate response.
