Legal Question in Traffic Law in Michigan

State Police officer released my info is it illegal

So I was driving down I-75 going south and a state police officer pulled me over for going 109 in a 75. Now i am not fighting the fact that I was speeding but questioning the fact that when he pulled me over he came up to my window started swearing at me and calling me names. And then he pulled me out of the car cuffed me and put me in the back of the cruiser. Then he asked me for my cell phone which i couldent get because i was cuffed so he proceeded to get it out of my pocket and then he called my mom. The question is can a police officer call my mom and release my infomation about my ticket to someone who had nothing to do with it? I feel like hew was announcing the fact that i got a ticket to the whole world. What should I do.

He told your mom??

....Awesome!!!

I'd be nice to your mom if I were you.

Try apologizing to her.

And, if you go to court, do the same for the trooper.

Do you think it's fun to chase down some idiot who's doing 109 mph?
