Legal Question in Traffic Law in Michigan
Hi,
I'm just wondering how long a speeding ticket stays on my driving record in Michigan? I've heard everything from 2 years to permanently. Can you clarify?
Thanks

As far as points go, the secretary of state looks back 2 years. Insurance companies look back 3 years. However, the violation itself continues to show up on your driving record. That's why you always want to contest traffic tickets; you have a good chance of getting your points dismissed or reduced with a an attorney. Daniel Hajji 248.865.4700
