Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Michigan

I just had an amendment to my trust done. For some reason, the original trust agreement has been lost and I only have a copy of the trust agreement. The attorney who drafted the trust said he does not keep original copies in his office. What choices do I have to make the copy of the trust agreement legal. It is a signed copy.

It would be prudent for you to re-sign the coppy you do have with all of the required witnesses/notarization. This way, your copy would then be an original. It may not matter since there are certain rules regarding use of copies as originals, but this would alleviate your concerns.
