Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Michigan

I have some bonds that my deceased grandmother left for me when i turned 21, I picked them up from the accountant she had hired but in order to cash them I need a copy of her trust stating they were intended for me. The accountant will not grant me access to a copy and I have no family members with a copy. What should I do and where could I get a copy?

It sounds like you need to hire an attorney to investigate why things are not working right here. Are the bonds in your name? If so, they can be cashed. If not, then probate needs to occur for her estate. Call me at (313)402-0853 or visit www.kliszlaw.com to discuss in more detail. Tim Klisz

If you are named as a beneficiary in the trust, you are entitled to the portion of the trust indicating same. You may be entitled to copy of the entire trust. Please contact me to discuss in more detail at johntatone.com
