Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Michigan

I would like to change the excutioner of my will, can I do this with just crossing it out write the new one above it and initial it. and it will be legal and binding? Thank you.

No, you shouldn't just "cross out" any provision of your will. It could make the entire will invalid. You should instead prepare a "codicil" to your will that is a separate writing. It will state that you have a will, that Article Two of your previous will named John Smith and the executor (now known as the personal representative), and that you want to replace John Smith iwith Mary Doe. It also should be signed/witnessed/notarized, much like the original will. Good luck.
