Changing a living trust

My parents have a living trust. There are three siblings. My father just died and my question is...can my mother change the living trust?

Thank you

Re: Changing a living trust

It's possible. I'd have to look at the trust language to really give you an opinion. Generally, upon the death of the first spouse, the survivor gets all the property to do with as she pleases. However, you may be able to make an argument that a contract was made that would prevent changing the language. You need a lawyer to review it. Bill Stern
