Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Michigan

Trying to help my Dad. My Grandmother (his mom) passed around 1992. He and his sister were to receive the majority of her assetts per the will. They ended up in probate and all was settled.

Now, almost 20 years later, his sister feels she was wronged and is owed $15,000 more and is demanding an extra 2% interest.

Is there a statute of limitations on contesting a will or probate process?

Yes, within 28 days of filing the sworn statement to close probate or at the accounting, depending on the type of estate it was. Should be a done deal. If he needs advice or assistance, contact me at kliszlaw.com to get started. Tim Klisz
