Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Michigan
My dad passed away, his home is in foreclosure. My mom is still living and never divorced him. I am the only one out of 4 sibling interested in the home and my mom has no interest. Is there anyway I can get ownership of the home? Does that include probate court, as no estate was established on his behalf?

The answer depends upon the deed. I would have to review the deed and determine if you mother received the house by operation of law. In such a case, I would draft a deed from your mother to you and you are the owner. Please call or e-mail me to discuss this in more detail. 586-580-8850 or [email protected]
