Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Michigan
My daughter became a widow from suicide. Her late husband owned a house when they married he never put her name on the house or mortgage when he refinancied. Is she libel for the mortgage? He did leave her the house in his will but the mortgage is more than the house is worth.

If she wants the house with the mortgage, she can keep it through the probate process and pay the lender. If not worth it, call the lender and give it back. If there are other assets, this would be an issue. Visit www.kliszlaw.com to discuss further. Tim Klisz
