Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Michigan

Dear Sir / Madam

I have a Probate question . I live in Michigan and my uncle died back in May 2005 .I am the only Sole Heir & Personal Representative of the Estate . The Estate has been open from 2005 up to today. Each year I file to the Probate Court the necessary papers in order to keep it open. In the file there are some claims ( 3 Credit Cards and an Individual ) they have just filed their claims when I published my uncles death in the Newspaper .Since then they haven't took any action to take me to court or sue me. I am thinking of closing the estate so my question is have these claims been disallowed or have they been discharged or is there a law that after so many years (2005-2016) these claims can be written off.

I kindly request a response as soon as possible .

Thank you !!!

The answer depends upon when you last made a payment, if any, on any of the loans. Payments on the loans would "re-start" the statute of limitations, which should be 6 years for these type of claims. This is just information and not advice, since I am just guessing about the status of these accounts from what you wrote. If you want more information or assistance, my address is provided below.
