Death

My uncle just past away he was married 26 years and his wife passed away.. He re mnarried to a women was married 6 years and this women will not allow him to be burried with his wife that past. The couple that past as one child that will make sure he is burried with or next to his 1st wife of 26 years. Do we have a case and for go sake why should we have to even face this if someone satays married for 26 years they want to be barried next to their spouse of the 26 years mariiage!

Evidently he did not have a will directing where he wanted to be buried.

The law provides for the right and power to make decisions about funeral arrangements in MCL 700.3206 in the surviving spouse. Furthermore, it is not necessarily true that a man will want to be married to the wife of 26 years, when he remarried and was married to a new wife for 6 years. Only they know the love they shared which is not necessarily less because they have been married for less time.
