Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Michigan

Easements to land willed

In Michigan, if I am willed land do I get an easement to it? Surrounding the piece of landed willed, is more land that the deceased previously owned also, that is going to be sold by the estate for profit. The piece of land willed is going to be used for hunting, and I wanted to know if there is a law to get access to the land, that is land locked.

Re: Easements to land willed

Absolutely. Landlocked land will have an easement by necessity across another's land to get to the public road.

You only get what the owner had.
