Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Michigan

Estates

My mother in law passed away this summer, and had no estate to speak of. She had a leased vehicle which we voluntarily had repossesed on her behalf. The leasing agent had the vehicle sold, but is now claiming that her estate still owes them money. There was no estate. What if any responce should I have for the leasing agent?

Re: Estates

as long as there was no co-signer, and no probate estate of any kind, you can tell them to close the matter, because there is no money in an estate. If there ate other wrinkles I am missing here, please contact me at www.kliszlaw.com. Tim Klisz

Re: Estates

In addition to Attorney Klisz's advice, it goes without saying that the matter should be put in writing via certified mail, return receipt requested.
