Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Michigan
My father passed away. My brother and I are listed as beneficiaries on the house and IRA, but no one is listed on the actual bank acct. The account is only worth maybe 8,000 dollars, do we have to go through the courts/Small estate affidavit? Or can the bank let us access it because we are already beneficiaries on everything else? My father had no formal will.
