Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Michigan
my grandfather died leaving my mother as an heir. my mother passed away years ago. Now myself and my siblings are to get my mothers portion of my grandfathers estate. The executor gave our share to my father, who was not mentioned in the will and blew all the money like a kid in a candy store. The executor will not fix his mistake. Proceedings have began to have him removed. by having him removed, will he be held accountable to give me what he chose to give away?

I would have to see all of the documentation to give you accurate advise. Do you currently have an attorney that has filed the petition to remove the executor? Does the executor have an attorney? Did your mother leave a will? How much money is involved? If your father was your mother's heir and there is nothing contrary in your grandfather's estate documents, it may not have been a mistake. If the executor breached his fiduciary duty owed to you and your siblings he/she may be personally liable to you and your siblings for the loss. Obviously, I need more information.
