Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Michigan

My grandfather transferred property into his four children names and his (him retaining use of the home till his death). Also, the property was transferred out of his trust. Issue: Two of those children were predecease when the transfer was made. Grandfather has since passed and the remaining two children plan to give the spouses of the two deceased children an equal share. The predeceased have decedents. Can this be done? Does probate correct this? How can the shares of the enstate go to the appropriate decedents?

The proper method is to open estates for the deceased siblings and give the estates of the two deceased children their share of the grandfather's property. This will protect everyone from competing claims between spouses and decendents. Please contact me to discuss in more detail at 888-988-LAWS (5297)
