Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Michigan

gravesite

A friend's husband died. He was a biker. His widow put a sign on his gravesite that says ''hog heaven''. It is acceptable with the cementary. His brother doesn't like it and is threatening to take her to court. Does he have a case? There was nothing indicated in his will. She does not have email

Re: gravesite

As the person who paid for the grave, the widow is probably the owner. She controls what goes on with the grave. Have the cemetary write a letter explaining to the guy that they look to the widow to determine what is proper. William S. Stern

Re: gravesite

Let him threaten a lawsuit. It's a waste of his time and money. if he wins, then so be it. i don't think he has much of a case, as she was his wife and likely has more say over what goes on his grave. plus, there is nothing inappropriate about it.

he won't take it to court.
