Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Michigan

In my judgement of divorce it stated "At such time as Defendant (ex-husband) shall remarry or sell the said residence, if either of the same shall occur, he shall, within thirty (30) days of such event pay unto the Plaintiff (me) the further sum of Five Thousand five Hundred ($5,500.00) dollars".

My ex did not sell the house nor did he remarry. But he has died. I filed my Judgement of Divorce with the court but the personal representative is denying my claim. Do I have a valid claim? Technically since he has died he no longer owns the house at it is sold/heired to someone?
