If a lawsuit has already been filed, any changes in the title to your home could be construed as a transfer in defraud of creditors and probably avoided. So your best bet would likely be to effectively defend the lawsuit. Depending on the type of lawsuit and the extent of your interest in your home and its value, it may make sense to file for bankruptcy. I agree with the first answerer that if you are already being sued there isn't really anything you can do that wouldn't get you into more trouble other than file bankruptcy (and that is assuming you do not have too much equity in your home). I would be happy to talk to you about what can happen to your house and other assets if you get sued if you would find this helpful.
