marriage after a will made

i'm getting married and already have a will giving everything to my daughters. after i wed does this will have any legal strenght or is it not valid anymore? i would want to give her a life time place to live but wouldn't want anyone living there with her. and can that be arranged? and i wouldn't want her kids to take advantage of her then either. thank you for your help. M G

Your spouse can always take an elective share by statute. This means that you cannot disinherit your spouse. You may be able to get around this with a prenuptual agreement or a trust. Please contact my office at (248)8513171.
