Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Michigan
Not Medically stable when signing will
At the age of 79 my mother had a aneurysm this was in 1998. Mentally she was never the same alzheimer's set in as did dementia. In 2001 when she was 82 and my stepfather was 72 he had a will wrote up at a Township which was done for free for all senior citizens,he had her sign it leaving $7000.00 to my son and $3000.00 to his niece.Had he died befor her. She died in 2004 which left everything to him. So no money was to be given to my son or his niece. Toward the end of her death I was made Her Health Care Power of Attorney and in it saids that I should have access to her medical records. I'm her only serviving daughter and he has since remarried.Would I be able to get her medical records?

Re: Not Medically stable when signing will
The will was made after your mother's alzheimers set in, and is, therefore, invalid. The power of attorney ends on your mother's death. Get a lawyer in Michigan to contest the will.
