Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Michigan

Michigan Inheritance Law Issues

It seems that my next oldest brother and I (the nuber 9 & 10 of 10 children) are exculed from our father's Living Will. How do I contest this when I live in Wisconsin and this case is in Michigan? Also can I intercept any ''charitable'' donations at part of this ''Living Will''. I cannot agree with my father being remembered by ''his generosity'' to charities when he spent his adult life ignoring his own children. This in light of the fact that 3 of 5 children of his second wife are fully vested when Joe and I are left in the dirt.

Re: Michigan Inheritance Law Issues

If your father knew what he was doing at the time he signed the will, there is nothing you can do. If there was an issue with his mental capacity, forgery of the signature, undue influence of his second wife, other children, etc. You may contest the will, regardless of where you live.
