Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Michigan
Mother died 2 years ago, no will, owes medical and credit card bills. Only asset is home, which was appraised for $12,000 less than mortgage. House payments and taxes have not been paid in 2 years, waiting for home to be repossessed. Why does estate have to pay probate taxes/fees and attorney fees? There is no money in estate.

There is no reason for the estate to be opened. Turn the house over to the bank and tell the creditors she died with no estate. Very simple decision here. Tim Klisz kliszlaw.com
