mY MOTHER IN LAW DIED with no will I am the only heir, can I claim her property?

Yes. However, the method you need to use depends upon what property is in her sole name. There is a simple probate if her total assets are less than $18,000.00. If it is just a vehicle, there is an affidavit process with the secretary of state. For assets over $18,000.00 a probate estate file must be opened with the County probate court where she lived.
