Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Michigan
My mother recently died after being on Medicaid for two yrs in a MI nursing home. Her only assest at the time of death was a home valued at $30,000. The house was part of a revocable trust dated 2001. Are there any documents which need to be filed showing the estate does not have to be probated? Does the state of Mi have the ability to reclaim any monies should the property be sold?

If the house was properly titled in the trust's name then you need to follow the terms of the trust.
