Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Michigan

I was recently appointed Co-Guardian of my mother. I have a suspicion that my father's girlfriend has obtained my mothers social security number and has been illegally using it. I was wondering if as her Co-Guardian if I had the legal authority to pull her credit report. My mother is unable to give her written or oral permission as she is severely handicapped.
