Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Michigan

I recently received the final payout from a will. The executor of the will called me last night and said there had been a mistake, he was never paid his share and needs half of the money back from everyone. The check has been cashed already, they had gone to court on June 3rd to close the estate. What should I do?

If the error was honest and can be documented, I believe that a judge would order you to pay it back (if the estate was reopened). Therefore, it may be in your interest to return the funds if proper documentation is given to you. http://www.wolverinelaw.com
