release myself from POAs

I would like to release myself from Power Of Attorney both healthcare and Durable. Please advice me how i should release myself.

If you are unable to get to an attorney, talk to the person for whom you hold these powers and tell them that you can no longer hold the position and that you are resigning. Assist them in notifying the successor that they are now in "power" and by writing a letter to the probate court and sign and date it. Give a copy to your "patient". MCL 700.5510 applies. (You can find the complete statute on the Michigan legislature website.)

(1) A patient advocate designation is revoked by 1 or more of the following:

Normally there is a provision in POAs that names the backup agent when the first named person is unable or unwilling to act. You need to provide a notice of intent to revoke and then revoke your POA. I can be reached at (248)2071117
