Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Michigan

What rights do I have if my partner was involuntarily committed to a mental ward in a hospital. We reside in Michigan. Is it too late to get power of attorney now.

I would not reccomend a power of attorney after a committment. It does not necessarily nullify the Power of Attorney, but it is evidence that the person may not have been competent at the time it is signed. There may be other methods of accomplishing the same goals. Please contact me to discuss in further detail. www.johntatone.com
