Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Michigan
My sister owns seven empty grave sites and will be buried in one of them. The deeds for the other six each show my sister and one of her six children as co-owners without specifying whether that ownership is JTWROS or TIC. If not specified, which tenancy does Michigan law assume? This is important because my sister in in an end-of-life situation and her adult children need to know who will inherit what once she passes. Thanks!
