Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Michigan

My son passed away in Michigan very unexpectantly. He left no will and only 2 ex divorced wives. His 2 daughters are adults (in their 30's+). He has a truck that is automatically paid off upon his death. The 2 daughters are fighting over who gets the truck. What about his outstanding credit card bills - who is responsible for them if only his name is on the card? Pls respond to [email protected]. Thank you.

If the truck is only in hsi name and it is the only asset (no bank accounts, ira or house). The truck may have to be sold to pay his credit cards or reimburse whoever paid for the funeral. Creditors have a priority over his heirs. Please contact me if you need to hire an attorney for assistance. 888-988-LAWS (5297) or johntatone.com
