Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Michigan

will / deed question

recently my grandmother passed and left my father and his 5 brothers her home. the will stated that the property would go to the brothers with right to suvivorship.

one of the brothers has recently sold his portion of the property to another brother and his wife. this has added her to the deed. is this legal? can my father sell his portion too? or do they have to be on the original will from my grandmother?

Re: will / deed question

The brother and wife who purchased the property from the other brother now take the property as tenants in common with the others, who continue to retain their joint tenancy.

Your father can sell his portion too and anyone he sells his portion to will take it as tenants in common.
