Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Michigan
Wills & estate question
Dad died without a will. He leaves behind 3 grown children from previous marriage, and a current wife of 25 years. Dad's children got nothing after his death. There are substantial assets (cash, house, stocks, life insurance, etc). Are his children entitled to any of it? Worried that current wife will pass it all on to her children, and cut Dad's children out.

Re: Wills & estate question
under Michigan law, without a will, all are entitled to very specific shares. It is a bit complex, so a consultation would be in order. Visit www.kliszlaw.com to discuss. Tim Klisz
Re: Wills & estate question
Depending on how the assets are titled, and the amount, the children from the previous marraige do have rights to some of Dad's assets. Please contact me to discuss in futher detail at johntatone.com or 888-988-LAWS (5297)
