Which Will pkg. should I purchase? for married persons, for couples, or for married couples? I am married and the 2 adult children are mine from a previous marriage. I want 50% of money and 50% of real estate to go to my husband and the other 50 50 split between the kids. Also I want jewerly and other personal belongings to go to my daughter. My husband has certain requests which we need to state in the will. (items which will go to his nephews) Which Will pkg. should I purchase and is there additional pkg.'s I need for certain requests?

Re: Wills

Will "packages" in non-traditional, second or blended families can cause great concerns and unintended actions. Specifically problematic is real estate holdings that may be passed by a will and how they may relate to how it is currently held, your homestead/residence exemption and taxes. I would highly recommend that you speak to an estate planning attorney prior to using a "package" to perform this.

Re: Wills

Will packages are dangerous because they may or may not comport with Michigan law. Also, no will package likely provides for the split you would like. It would be best to obtain an attorney to draft your wills.
