Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Michigan

Wrongful death

my aunt sued the hospital and my grandmohters doctor and settled a wrongful death lawsuit.. It is now in probate she

told us that the attorneys allowed her to take 2/3 of the settlement and allowed 1/3 to be divided among all 11 of the grandchildren. She gave some more then others and some she didn't give anything to. Now one of the grandchildren is contasting her decision she is now saying that she will wright him into the settlement but she is going to take money away from the other grandchildren except her children. Is this legal can she decide who can get what part of her settlement which we knew nothing about said that none of us can sue the doctor or hospital. I was the closes grandchild/person to her.

Re: Wrongful death

What you have described cannot, or should not, have happened. There are details that are missing. This would be a long answer and even then you would have new questions. Call my office Wednesday and I will go into detail with you. If you cannot call Wednesday, please call after April 15th. Good Luck John C. Talpos (http://www.Mich-lawyer.com)
