Legal Question in Workers Comp in Michigan

fell at work need surgery have no insurance

I fell at work 7 years ago due to faulty equiptment(a chair not bolted together) went to their doc had no ins of my own was told I broke tailbone and was off on medical boss lied to me to get me off workmanscomp quit job. was in pain daily and finally got ins went to my own doc and was told i had also ruptured two disks no longer have ins and am being told I need surgery because I have irreversable nerve damage in my right leg and bladder and eventually will not have feeling in my leg and I already urinate unexpectadly I know there is a statue of limitation but dont know what it is. I am 33 years old with two active children and a husband my ability to keep up with my children and my husband (if you know what I mean) has deminished. If it is to late to sue for pain and suffering is it still possible to get my medical bills and surgery paid for? I have no ins and really need this surgery eventually I will lose all feeling in my leg, and all control of my bladder and bowels I am too young to be in a wheel chair or wear a bag is there something I can do?

Thank You

Re: fell at work need surgery have no insurance

You may have a statute of limitation problem. What has been going on for 7 years? Why the delay? That is what I need to know so that I can advise you properly. Bill Stern 248-353-9400
