Legal Question in Workers Comp in Michigan
Still hurting!
I injured back in sept 2006, I went back to work voluntarily on Jan 15th 2007 because I could not afford to live on what I was receiving. I was still in pain but I had my primary give me a return to work note. I just could not take my truck driving job anymore, my boss told me that he could not have me back to work if I went on comp again. He said that he would pay for unemployment if I did not claim anything medical again. I do not know what to do, the insurance company was giving me a hard time with medical bills and I felt like every check I received would be my last. Can I try to get workers comp again or did I blow it? The comp adjuster told me to wait 12-18 months before getting surgery

Re: Still hurting!
If you are still working and not receiving medical treatment there is no use in filing for workers' compensation because you cannot be disabled if you are working in the same job as before. When you no longer are working, then file a petition for workers' compensation. Use an experienced workers' comepensation law, such as myself. How you support yourself while the petition is pending is one of the great mysteries of life. William S. Stern
