Legal Question in Workers Comp in Michigan

I was injured on the job ,rear ended in a work vehicle,on my way to my job site to return the work vehicle and finish my shift workmans comp denied my claim because they said I was not working at the time.They said because I went to the drs on my luch I wasnt working even tho the time the accident took place I was off lunch and completely done and far from the drs office(small note:the drs visit was with a spine specialist for an ijury with the same company on the job)can they deny my claim?
