Legal Question in Workers Comp in Michigan

On the job injury

Hello,

My brother works in a mold shop and he recently incurred an injury while working. He was working with a mold press and was using a torche wrench. The tool broke and a metal pipe hit him in the head. He had to get eight stitches and the wound is still healing. I've noticed that he's been out of sorts lately since then too. He went to his works clinic and had it taken care of there, they gave him a cat scan and all. Also, the company is LLC.. not sure what that means?

What I would like to know is:

1. If he wants to get a second opinion, is the company supposed to pay for it?

2. If he wants to have a plastic surgeon to remove the scar, are they responsible for the charges?

I would greatly appreciate help and advise on this situation. Thank you very much for your time and input. there will be a scar, right on his forehead... He's pretty upset about it.

Re: On the job injury

Ten days after the injury, he can choose his own doctors. He can get the scar revised at their expense. Any questions, feel free to call. William S. Stern, Southfield, MI
