Legal Question in Workers Comp in Michigan

on the job injury

my injury happened on november 7 2005, elbow/forearm contusion, which i had to have surgery and a plate and 9 pins were inserted. I retured to work on january 11, 2006 with restrictions (no lifting over 5 lbs.) I have been recieving partial payments from workmans comp. since then. I have been seeing a physical therapist 3 times a week, and a doctor 1-2 times a month. I still have to get another surgery in 3-6 months. Workers comp. have been paying for all of my medical bills. Would workers comp. agree to a lump sum settlement to pay for my future related surgery and doctor visits and wages? Instead of continuing giving me my partial payment checks and paying medical bills. If they did settle would that effect a construction site injury lawsuit?
