Setttlement Offer from Employer. Not Enough HELP
Can someone please help me. My husband works for a garbage company which he had been for 1 year. no union. He was getting out of the truck to pick up garbage when right from cab tire run over his foot and leg from the back. he has been off work for a year drawing workmans comp. he has complied with all of the doctors appointed to him by the company. recently we got a call from the his workplace for a settlement of 30,000. we were dumfounded. he has been instructed by the companys comp doctors that he can not return back to work. he will more in likely never be able to do the job he was hired for. now they want to settle. he is and probably will not be able to drive a truck again. now what do we do? we cant settle for this this is our life his truck driving. he quit school to get his cdl license now to find out he will never be able to drive a semi again. what do we do?

It sounds like there are potentially two cases, one for workers compensation and the other against the at-fault driver of the cab who hit your husband.
