Legal Question in Workers Comp in Michigan

sprained neck and possible hemoraging of brain at work

neck sprained at work. managers knew of risk of harm, could change environment easily, did not. caused me to injure self and miss work...not given compensation. do i have a case? injury received-tv hung too low and it knocked me onto ground. many guests and employees have hurt themselves in similar pattern and managers fully aware(they hung them) instead of hiring professionals.

Re: sprained neck and possible hemoraging of brain at work

You would be entitled to workers compensation during the period of time that you missed work. You cannot sue the employer for pain and suffering or anything above the workers compensation, even if the employer was highly negligent as workers compensation is your exclusive remedy. William S. Stern
