Legal Question in Workers Comp in Michigan

stress, depression, insommia

I am seeing counselor for stress & depression plus on 4 different meds. My attorney wants to settle with $300 wk for 5 yrs. I want to go to court because the employer put me where I'm at right now. I was harrassed by 2 women for 4 yrs. Filed complaint with HR but it was all hear say. After that I didn't get good raises and managment put me in another unit that I had started with when I was hired. I was watched and told that I had to tell someone where I was going when ever I left my desk and that the next time I ran to HR I needed to tell someone in management. I had heart issues and ended up off work for stress etc and then they terminated me in Jan 07 Do I need to say no to the attorney and hold out. Im 53 amd do not want to work at Walmart in 5 yrs. As of right now I cannot hold a job because of my condition. Please help.

You have a right to go to trial but I have seen cases that seem like a sure win and that case loses. If your lawyer is a regular workers comp lawyer, you probably should take your lawyers' advice. William S. Stern
