Legal Question in Workers Comp in Michigan
tinnitus
I was denied workers compensation 2 years ago for tinnitus. As of that time I asked the company to move me to quiter work area. They denied me. Now as of today, my tinnitis is so severe, I am having a hard time dealing with it. I have sinice again submitted a workmans compensation form. If I am denied again, what action can I take? My doctor has told me that it is work related and has put it on my script.
I am off work now for 2 months so I can go through a program called neromonic treatment for tinnitus.
Please help me if you can.
Sincerly, Judy Littleton

Re: tinnitus
If you are still working there, there is not much you can do because the employer does not owe anything unless you suffer a wage loss. If you have left the employment due to the situation, you should see a workers' compensation specialist attorney and file a claim (petition). I have been specializing in this area of law for over 30 years and am a former adjunct member of the Workers Compensation Appeal Board. If you wish to discuss this with me, feel free to contact me.
