Legal Question in Workers Comp in Michigan

Workman's comp

What can one expect as a lump sum settlement in Michigan for an injury severe enough that it will not ever let one go back to their job (The insurance company offered 1 to 2 years of what I'd get on workman's comp which is 1/2 to 1 year of what I'd get for my normal net take home pay)?

Re: Workman's comp

There are so many factors that go into the decision as to what to settle a workers' compensation case for, that it is impossible to list them. Age, medical issues, reputation of medical providers, type of injury, the insurer, etc. are some factors. You are best to obtain the services of a good, experienced workers' compensation attorney to handle this for you. The fee on a case that is being paid voluntarily is 10% of the award. I have been specializing in workers comp for 30 years and am a former adjunct member of the Workers' Compensation Appeal Board. Feel free to give me a call. William S. Stern
