I'm a 16 year oId and I received an underage consumption citation. I was also taken to the hospital in an ambulance and kept there for 12 hours. My friends have told me that since I was taken to the hospital I should not have received the citation. Is this correct?

No, despite the fact that you were taken to the hospital you can still receive a citation.

There is nothing that prevents you from receiving a citation if probable cause exists to charge. Going to the hospital certainly does not prevent it.

No, that is incorrect.

I agree with the other attorneys and this is incorrect. Why would your friends think you can't get a citation because you were in the hospital? I would be interested in hearing their logic.
