Legal Question in Personal Injury in Minnesota
What is the maximum you can sew someone for when you slip and fall on their property. When it was their fault.

The amount of a recovery will be based on the determination of the amount of reasonable compensation you are entitled to based on your injury, medical expenses, and loss of income as a result of the incident. There is no set "maximum" you can sue for, the amount depends upon your actual damages. If a lawsuit is started in a Minnesota District Court, you can typically only request in the lawsuit the recovery of reasonable damages in an amount in excess of $50,000, and then the amount recovered will be the amount settled for or, if the case goes to trial, the jury's determination of the amount of reasonable compensation you are entitled to based on your injury, medical expenses, and loss of income as a result of the incident.
